Legal Services for New York City - Brooklyn Branch and its Board of Legal Assistance for the Jewish Poor has, as its mission, the application of Chesed (kindness) to the delivery of legal services for the poor. Helping low-income people in Brooklyn to seek equal access to justice by providing a broad range of legal advocacy and information. Mindful of the diversity of communities in Brooklyn, we work respectfully with both individual clients and client groups to identify and address their legal needs and help maintain their quality of life by working cooperatively with the private bar and with other agencies and organizations serving poor people.
